Last weekend we paid a visit to the land we are renting for our entrepreneurship project!
The plan is to plant rice to sell later. We will start in October-November to prepare the farm land. Then the entrepreneurs will buy the seeds and plant them. A group of local farmers will take care of the daily activities until April, when the rice will be ready to be harvested. The entrepreneurs will harvest the rice and transport it.
Once this project is done, the group will meet to assess the profits and to decide whether to continue with the project.
The total budget of this project is 1.33 million TZS (30,000 TZS for renting the farm, and 1,030,000 for the rice production chain).
The estimated gains of selling the rice are 2.4 million TZS, obtaining 1.07 million TZS as profits).
