We welcome volunteers from all over the world, all ages and backgrounds.
As a volunteer, you will be able to participate in the daily activities of the NGO, such as supporting the children's education, delivering entrepreneurial workshops to the mother, assist in organizational tasks, participate in meetings, carry out fundraising activities, and taking care of our social media and web page.
We value every volunteer's experience and suggestions, we believe your ideas are the biggest asset to helps us grow!
What will you do?
This is a non-extensive list of the possible activities you can do as a volunteers. It will generally depend on the NGO needs in the time of your arrival, but we will take you into consideration your preferences.
Teaching class
You will be able to participate in the daily lessons, helping the teacher, organising activities and games...
Social media & Website
Become our online community manager, taking care of the social media and website tasks. This will hep us to gain visibility and raise much-needed funds.
Entrepreneurship workshops
You can help teaching the women of the community entrepreneurial skills. They learn how to best do business and we give them a little capital so they can put their learnings into practice!
Collaborations
You can also get to know the projects of other local NGOs and help us establish meaninful collaborations for the benefit of Mwanza society.

General information
1 / How long can I volunteer for? Is there a minimum time length required?
The length of your volunteering experience is completely up to you. However, we recommend that you stay with us for more than two weeks, so you can have more impact and make the most of your experience. The longer you stay, the better!
2 / Do I have to pay any fee?
We do not charge you any fee for coming to volunteer with us. However, at this moment we cannot afford to cover your expenses, so you will need to be able pay for flights, vaccines, Visa, accomodation, food & transport, etc.
But don't worry, you can check all the advice we give our volunteers in the Volunteers' Guide (to be published).
3 / Is the school in a safe area?
Yes. In general, Mwanza is a safe city, and the area where the school is located is very quiet and very easy to reach from your accommodation. You will feel at ease here.
4 / What can I do in my free time?
There are a lot of activities to do in Mwanza. You will find a big community of volunteers from different organizations, with whom you will be able to enjoy the main attractions of the city (Victoria Lake, Bismark Rock, local markets and clubs, sport matches...)
